This white paper reveals the results of an extensive nationwide survey of healthcare provider managers conducted by MobileHelp®. The goal was to gain insights into provider views on challenges they face in the upcoming year and how they are responding. Topics surveyed include:
- Top challenges facing healthcare organizations
- Telehealth services
- Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS)
- Barriers to adopting technology
- Steps to success
Nearly 30 percent reported their organization currently offers telehealth services.
Of those organizations currently not offering telehealth services:
- 85 percent saw clear patient benefits
- nearly 25 percent reported they are looking to implement a program within the next twelve months
The survey also indicated that providers were looking to telehealth technology to provide additional, or supplementary, services. For example, nearly 65 percent of the respondents reported it would be of benefit to their patients to have a medical alert device combined with a telehealth solution.
