Connected Health is in the Hands of Consumers

MobileHelp® Touch pairs key health tracking features with emergency response.

LAS VEGAS – January 6, 2019 – Offering consumers a comprehensive platform for connected health, MobileHelp®, a leader in mobile Personal Emergency Response Systems (mPERS) and healthcare solutions, is featuring its newest base station at CES 2019. The MobileHelp Touch is the first emergency response system with an interactive touchscreen, that provides customers with access to help, health management tools, photo sharing, messaging and games – all in one platform.

As depicted in a recent news segment, the MobileHelp Touch was designed to give consumers the ability to achieve better health management by leveraging the functionality of health-focused applications, which the company is making available via the tablet. The first of these will be a link to American Well’s consumer application, Amwell®, which gives consumers a direct video connection to doctors in their home state – 24/7 – which can mitigate or eliminate the need for an in-person office visit or provide an option to get care outside of normal physician business hours.

“As we move into the very near future, healthcare and its delivery will become radically more accessible through technology tools such as this,” said Robert Flippo, MobileHelp CEO. “MobileHelp will continue to extend its product platform to allow people to manage new aspects of their health and connect in more comprehensive ways with their care providers.”

The touch screen tablet will also allow users to access the following features and benefits – all delivered over the tablet’s advanced 4G LTE cellular network connection:

  • Medication reminders: this allows customers, along with their authorized caregivers or family members, to manage their medications;

  • Activity tracking: this application utilizes the MobileHelp Fall Button™ and tracks the customer’s activity levels on a daily, weekly, monthly and even yearly basis – and allows for their comparison over time; and

  • Messaging: the tablet features an easy-to-use messaging interface, so users can connect with loved ones by SMS or e-mail using one simple streamlined

As with all MobileHelp base station products, the tablet will work in conjunction with the company’s Fall Button, traditional pendants and wrist buttons. It will also feature one-touch, soft key access to emergency help from the main base station screen.

For healthcare professionals and organizations, the company’s Healthcare division offers a version of the MobileHelp Touch that features MobileVitals – a remote patient monitoring (RPM) application – which tracks vital signs using wireless health monitoring devices (blood pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, weight scale and glucose monitoring device) and conveys the data to professional care providers.

The MobileHelp Touch will be available to consumers in Q1 2019.
